A small, deliberately static record of a business that no longer exists under this name, published at the address it used to occupy.

What this is

absoluticebar.com was the official website of the Absolut Icebar bars for most of a decade. The registration lapsed, and in 2024 the domain was used for unrelated online-casino pages. It changed hands again in September 2026, and this archive is what is on it now.

The site does one job: it makes the URLs that travel journalism and blogs spent fifteen years linking to resolve to something honest about what was there. Every page rebuilt here sits at the exact URL it originally occupied.

What this is not

• Not the bar. This site is not operated by, affiliated with or endorsed by Absolut, Pernod Ricard, Icehotel, Hotel C Stockholm, or any bar described on it.
• Not a booking channel. There is nothing to buy here and no reservation to make. The Stockholm bar is still open under a different name and takes its own bookings; the London bar is closed.
• Not a revival. No attempt is made to write in the brand's voice, to present old marketing as current, or to imply the chain still exists.

Corrections and rights

If you worked on these bars, hold rights in material described here, or can settle the 1993-or-1994 question about the first Jukkasjärvi bar, corrections are welcome and will be credited. Rights holders who want something changed or removed can ask and it will be done.
